Like what you see? Vauxhall’s newest SUV, the Grandland X, hits our streets in early 2018. And it’s more than just a pretty face – a cavernous boot, powerful engines and bags of technology including OnStar mean that few other SUVs on the road can match its abilities.
The Grandland X made its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2017 – so keep returning to this site for further updates.
Looks aren’t everything, but in the case of the Grandland X they certainly help. A distinctively designed gloss-black grille, sculpted bonnet, muscular wheel arches and silver skid plates give the car a domineering road presence. You can make your Grandland stand out even more with an optional “floating” coloured roof.
The spacious cabin of the Grandland X ensures that you are ready for any adventure. A vast 1,652 litres of boot space and 60/40 split rear folding seats mean that you can fit everything but the kitchen sink inside (or even that too, if you’re so inclined). Meanwhile the high quality of the interior materials and high seating position will make you feel like king or queen of the road.
OnStar service is fitted to every Grandland X model as standard. It uses its advanced technology to ensure the highest standard of safety for drivers. If an airbag is deployed, OnStar will be alerted automatically, an advisor will contact you and (if necessary) an emergency vehicle will be dispatched to your location. OnStar also turns Grandland X into a 4G LTE mobile Wi-Fi hotspot.
As well as style and comfort, the cabin offers access to an enormous range of driver assistance technology. Standard equipment includes the manufacturer’s sophisticated IntelliLink audio systems (compatible with Apple or Android smartphones) and a large touchscreen, whilst the heated windscreen is available as an optional extra. The traction-enhancing IntelliGrip is another notable innovation, and is accompanied by a host of active safety systems from ESP to Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection.
